9:32:18 AM 5/2/2000 -- NTT DoCoMo plans to add i-mode capabilities to its
cellular/PHS Doccimo phone. The new handset, to be named Super Doccimo, will
be manufactured by Sharp and will go on sale later this month. Reportedly,
PHS phones have better sound quality than cellphones, and while they support
fast data rates, they reportedly perform poorly when on the move. While the
i-mode service has had capacity problems recently, NTT DoCoMo says it will
add the i-mode capability as a standard function in all its phones by the
