(keitai-l) Is there anything wrong in Europe?

Imagine being a major European operator.

Would you:

Invest now a lot of money in developing content for 3G now when is not clear
when, where, and how 3G networks are going to be commercially launched?

or

Invest now a lot of money in developing content for GPRS when in the last
couple of years you were not able to get cheap phones, a reasonable speed
and a decent way to bill your clients?

I would not, I would be very cautious...

That's the situation in Europe. A "lot" is ongoing but no one wants to take
risks.
And most of what is happening is happening inside the telcos behind closed
doors. That's way small independent developers are facing so many
problems...

Foma will push the situation. If once commercially available it will be a
success, the Europeans will follow. If not I see hard times coming for the
ones that were planning to earn their salaries from 3G.
