Slightly different story there -- most of those mergers were
made in the interest of becoming "too big to fail."  This was
a smart move even if it's ethically rather revolting.

I doubt this fog of confusion over cancellation vs. delay of
i-mode in Europe is part of some canny PR strategy, except
insofar as it keeps the public's attention.
