The TPC's January meeting will have some biz talk - IPOs - and tech talk -Java and wireless. Be there on Thursday to kick off 2002's Tokyo computing calendar:
 
Tom Sato, a previous presenter for the TPC on Windows 3.0 when he worked for Microsoft and now President of Tokyo IPO (http://www.ipotokyo.com/) will speak on 2001's dramas and prospects for the Japanese IPO Market in 2002.

Greg Glassman, of LINC Media will talk about the TPC's new Java Special Interest Group (http://www.tokyopc.org/java/), give a brief introduction to the Java language, and talk about LINC's Java Development company, Layer-8 Technologies (http://www.l8tech.com/en/)  and what they have planned for Japan's wireless industry in the near future.

The meetings are held in the basement of The Tokyo Union Church on Omotesando Dori, a short walk from the A-1 exit of the Omotesando subway station on the Ginza, Hanzomon, and Chiyoda Lines. The entrance is through the parking area at the side of the church. Members free, non-members Y1000 at the door. Doors open about 6:30, meeting starts at 7pm.
