Kind of a long shot, but given the fear inspired in Japanese garment
and textile manufacturers by UNIQLO and it's cheap-chinese-import-
dress-down-style strategy (the subject of some protectionist lobbying
over the last year), a line of wearable computers (or should that be
"computerized wearables"?) might avail that embattled industry of a
great last-ditch line of defense: patent protection.
