On Windows we use TextPad (http://www.textpad.com/) and BBEdit
(http://www.barebones.com/products/bbedit.html) on our Macs.

Both handle Japanese very well and have all the widgets you would expect
in a source editor.

Subject: (keitai-l) jpnz text editor?

trawling for recommendations for a nice bare bones text editor that will
handle japanese fonts correctly. my fave has been editplus, but it
rotates
j-letters... ultra-edit doesn't seem to do anything but convert to ???
marks. (I thot this could be resolved by changing display font, but
non).

still on an english OS...

tx as always to this list.
