interesting.
maybe they changed their policies.
i bought a phone in june 1999 and cancelled the contract in february
2000 without any problems.
the second time was in summer 2000. i bought in july and cancelled it
after about 4 weeks since i had to (unexpectedly) leave japan.
both time i had the phone with me since they used it for something
(and connected it to a cable...)
