They have made bold promises to enter this and that market for years and 
this has prompted analysts to make bold predictions for years, but those 
promises and predictions have yet to materialise.

To the contrary ... MS has traditionally been struggling when they tried 
to make an impact outside of the world of desktop PCs. So, don't hold 
your breath.
