The imode handsets all have short-mail (SMS) built in.
Type an email, and instead of an internet type email,
type in a mobile-phone number. Then the handset
will ask you if you want to send the message as an
imode-email or as a short-mail: you have the choice to
use an internet-type email or a short-mail.

This can be useful, if you want to send an email to
someone, where you know the mobile phone number but
not the email address.
