So I was in Starbucks in Shinjuku and a random girl asked me
about my country. We started talking and suddenly a J-Phone
campaign girl with a Sha-Mail phone in her hand was standing in
front of us..."can I take your picture? Please move a bit
closer...closer...closer...<click>...thank you very much".
The random girl said "oh, I also have a Sha-Mail phone, look
here, this is my american boyfriend. He is baseball player and
2,10m tall!".
Unsuspicious as I was, I asked the campaign girl what she plans
to do with the picture, but she nodded only a bit, gave us some
presents and wanted to disappear. Suddenly she turned around and
said "oh yes, the picture is for our homepage. We show a lot of
couples there. Thank you very much...you are such a cute couple!"
and with a loud <swoosssshh> she disappeared. I looked at the
girl, she looked at me and we both turned white..."uh, a couple
homepage? I hope she made a joke...if somebody finds out...uh!".
The moral of this story? Run away if you see a J-Phone campaign
girl or be prepared to have a very good explanation if somebody
finds your picture somewhere here:
