I'd think that Vodafone is drafting a group-wide Java standard
and wants it to include J-Phone JSCL features as possible while
keeping the whole design elegant.
with such a standard, it'll be easier to build Java services
throughout Vodafone and buy Java handsets in volume at bargain.
