That is right-- you only get 40-60kbps.  I have the
Verizon service in the US., a Docomo P-In card in
Japan.  The Verizon service is o.k. but in a few place
(buildings)- I live in Manhatten- it doesnt work
sometimes but all in all its compatible to P-In speed.
 I just returned from a trip on Amtrak from NYC to
Boston and the coverage was very spotty/on and off
again and though I managed to connect sometimes very
briefly it cut off all the time...
