That's not nearly as convenient as proper synchronization.
I see applications for this sort of thing as well, and mobility and
using the network could actually enhance the experience in a way not
possible with a computer, or without a wireless connection. For example,
I would love it if, when someone schedules a meeting for me in our
office scheduling application, my phone would immediately update its
internal schedule as well, and vibrate to inform me of the change if
it's a change to a meeting today.
