Well it could be more trouble than it is worth, but if you _really_ wanted 
to you could:

Use an appli with through ssl to communicate to a servlet which would call 
an ant script (or even make it on the spot) enabling the commands you sent 
 from the appli to run in a shell on that or another system.

I dk if current midp implimentations support ssl but midp 2.0 does, and I 
dk though how ssl compares to SSH in terms of security.

I could do it and probably aren't as clever as half of you all ;^)
