For now, the GPS only switches on when you request coordinates.  
Active GPS kills the battery pretty fast on my 903T.

RFIDs are more likely to make there way into IDs and drivers  
licenses. Stick enough RFID transceivers around the place and you  
have a pretty good tracking system.

You can already track someone's approximate location from mobile base  
stations so I'd recommend either leaving your mobile at home or at  
least turning it off before engaging in any subversive activities ;)
