(keitai-l) "Keitai" vs. "PHS"? Now I'm all confused....

In the recent issue of J@pan Inc, Daniel Scuka
uses "keitai" as opposed to "PHS", rather than
PHS as a *kind* of keitai.

When I had a PHS phone, I still said "Call me
on my keitai...." Was I being presumptuous?
Is keitai really a synonym for "*cellular* phone"?

Reason for asking: I'm preparing FAQ entries
to help journalists with mechanics and terminology.

I love it, btw, that "070" is thought to be
so downscale from "090", kind of like the
area-code snobbery in the U.S.
