Ian: I am sorry my email was unclear, but it is carefully explained here:

you can purchase cokes and other flavors using the Cmode machine and your
mobile phone, however the payment is not charged to the phone bill, but
to either of two other accounts associated with your phone: a reward point
account or a cash account which is separate from you phone bill. 

I am not sure whether GSM or DoCoMo is ahead in this Coke purchasing game,
but it seems to be a slightly different setup.
