The Korean mnfs. are about 6 months behind the Japan in size, battery life,
functionality. They have Java sets, color displays, polyphonic ring tones,
etc. I cannot speak to their RF technology, but I did not notice any
significant difference between reception for Korean phones and Japanese
phones.

I just saw a piece on CNN (Biz Asia) that explains that Korean Telecom
conglomerates are racing to "show the world" that they are leading in 3G
technology.

Besides the fact that their ego's are sadly over bloated they get this kind
of publicity. (~_~メ)

They do have one advantage though:

	They use international standards

But overall the adoption of mobile technology is poor; On par with China -
miniaturization with poor reception & few features.
