Both an SSL client and server are required to establish SSL so you will
still need to set up your server for SSL. SSL works both ways between
the server and DoCoMo gateway but between the gateway and phone relies
on DoCoMo's propriety security.

Hello + thanks for that,
I am new to i-mode and some terminology so please excuse me. Are you
saying that there is SSL(128 Bit) from [user] - [gateway] - [webserver],
but
not the reverse? Can you possibly extrapolate on the set up of this? My
web
server would only be RETRIEVING information from the gateway. Would the
encription cover the whole process thus making in unecessary to setup a
digital certificate/SSL on my web server? Has this encription already
been
setup on the gateway?

Thanks for your time

Paul.
