I see that Vodafone is planning to release a version of the N71 in
Japan:

Seems to be the most 'Japanese' Nokia so far. It's a clam-shell for
starters. Then they have other radical ideas, like using MiniSD cards
instead of the unknown DV-RS-MMC. It looks like it may even have a
usable camera! Wonder if SoftBank is influencing choices, or is Nokia
finally taking Japan seriously?
I pessimistically assume the phone will be as locked down as all
their previous Nokia offerings.
Anyone know what the actual release date is likely to be? Just has
"Coming Soon" on the site.
