As I am not sure what you're aiming at...you can of course calculate an
upper limit for this:

maxCostPerMonth = NumOfficialSites * AveCostOfOfficialSite + (Pi * 1.e7
/ 12) sec * MaxPacketsPerSec * CostPerPacket

Andrew Saunders posted recently that there are only 460 fee-paying
sites, so let's take this number. I don't know the AveCostOfOfficialSite
so let's take the full 300Yen. Anyone know the missing numbers for the
packets?

maxCostPerMonth = 138000 Yen + ?

To make this all more reasonable you can of course assume that your
friend needs some sleep sometimes.

All this perhaps is still an open question as your friend might make
committments on (non-official) sites on your behalf that are or are not
legally binding in the end. Is this what you're hinting at? For
non-official sites the problem is identical to internet without proper
client authentication and any i-mode phone could probably be used to
incur a cost for you. For official sites, is there a harder
proof/evidence in i-Mode logs (eg. user id) that an official site can
use to enforce someone paying bigger bucks than just the 300Yen per
month? I thought official services are limited to 300Yen by contract, ie
there's no way they can charge you another 1MYen because you signed up
for the 'super special' service.

Does that make any sense?

Good night
Marc
