Michael,

No offense. I think this is an interesting concept but will it work with the
Japanese culture? When Japanese go out during the night with their peers or
group don't they pre-plan where they want to go and would even wait until a
table opens up despite the wait and the large crowd. To them the crowd and
the noisiness of the place is an attraction and it might even be worth
waiting for. Japanese aren't just going to abandon their plans to go to
another place that they aren't familiar with. They are willing to wait it
out until a table opens in my opinion.

I agree though that being able to find seats and even look up the wait time
for these seats to be available might prove to be invaluable.

Once again though everything I've stated above is just opinion and based on
experience. Nothing else.
