Well, you can certainly trademark it if you spell "maneuver" like that! :-)

Anyway, I agree that I have NFC why MacDo is getting into this;
they seem about as unsuited to it as anyone could possibly be. Even
Starbucks is, in my mind, as the whole concept really doesn't seem
to work so well with perishable goods that are normally consumed
immediately.

Well, not likely. Even if they get the cost down to a nickel, so
they can put it on a tin of beans, that nickel is more than the
retailer is making from that tin of beans. Cheap as these get,
barcodes are basically free, assuming you're printing anything
anyway.

They're going to be great during the production/shipping process,
but for consumer use, nah.
