A5301T is smaller than J-SH51 (108 g) which is one of J-Phone's
best sellers. it's about the same weight as D251i (120 g).
if I were the designer and I could have done less than 110 g,
I'd probably adjust it back to 120 g by using a bigger battery.
120 g and 48 mm width are now criteria for handset design.
48 mm is the right size to fit in hands of Asians ... maybe
a small problem for peasants with fat fingers like carrots.
one of the big problems of DoCoMo's new 504i and 251i series
is that the battery dies quickly when users play games and take
photos, that the "offline" features compete with online usage
because they share the same battery.
btw, it looks that many 504i and 251i users have their bills
jumped 20-30% (no accurate data). it'll be interesting to see
what actions these users are going to take: accept the higher
bill/ARPU, restrict usage, or defect to au/KDDI or J-Phone.
