Wrong!

FOMA (3G) is cheaper across the board than Mova (2G)
for almost all useage patterns.

You'll find detailed comparisons in DoCoMo's sales
materials.

My kid in June used YEN 23,000 for i-mode data on 2G alone:
with FOMA the same data will only cost you YEN 3900 and
its faster, i.e. the data costs 6 times cheaper for
this usage pattern.

Same is true for AU/WIN.

Vodafone does not have a fixed price data plan yet,
so they don't have this strong reduction for big
users.

Calls are also cheaper.

We have detailed graphics comparing all the different
pricing schedules in our 3G report (apologies for the plug).
