"WinCe" made most do exactly that.
To be "stung" is to be conned, cheated or deceived in some way. How long
before it is renamed 'stinker"?
"Making lots of friends at a party" is the prerogative of the slut through
the ages. It does not imply a long, fruitful, relationship. Besides, to
extend the analogy, most manufacturers who cuddle up to Microsoft end up
being gripped by the short and curlies. Caution will be the name of the
game from the serious players - Microsoft has no good track record in this
area.
